How do I find housing and what will it cost me?

We offer assistance in finding housing convenient to the training center. We will tailor our assistance based upon your needs and preferences. Generally, you should allow approximately $600.00 per month for housing (many of our students share accommodations to significantly reduce this cost).

Question:
What transportation options is available to me?
Answer:
Most of our students live close to the training center where by
public transportation is available. However, some students prefer
to purchase or lease an inexpensive vehicle for transportation to
and from the flight center. This enables them to use the vehicle for
sight seeing and to visit the local attractions (the beach, Disney,
deep-sea fishing, water parks, athletic contests, etc.) We offer assistance
and advice in securing vehicles to serve your desired purpose. We
have made arrangements for excellent rental car rates. |

About the Sunrise Method of Training
Question:
How does Sunrise charge for its' flight training?
Answer:
Sunrise's policy is to bill actual time both for flight training and ground training. We have found this to be the most cost-effective method for conscientious students. Our rates are very competitive.
| |
Question:
What should the total cost be for my training?
Answer:
Your cost, under the Sunrise method, will be a result of how quickly
you achieve the required standards. Our experience is that students
who apply themselves and fly a minimum of two hours per day are most
likely to achieve their goals in the least amount of time and cost.
Under FAA standards (Part 141) it will cost $3,281 to achieve your
private pilot's license with the Sunrise method. Our experience has
shown that most students who train in the United States achieve their
goals in approximately 70 hours. Under Sunrise's training program,
the average student's time is 49 hours. |

Question:
What type of aircraft is available for flight training?
Answer:
Our aircraft fleet consists of freshly refurbished Cessnas and Pipers. Our experience has shown a direct correlation between the quality of aircraft used for training and the effectiveness with which a student accomplishes his/her goals.
| |
Question:
Will I have a personal instructor?
Answer:
Yes! Under the Sunrise method, our students are assigned an individual instructor who will assist you in becoming acclimated to the area. We recognize that your rate of accomplishment will be quicker with one personal instructor than it will by being trained by several different individuals.
